I’ve been to ireland in the past (that convention in MALAHIDE) and now I am looking forward to that one in belfast. can someone help and give me the date when this convention (MALAHIDE) was. I had really a good time and could offer my second bed in my room to a couple from amsterdam (they came just into the programme).
I hope to be in the north.

    you all hear from me
    yours in recovery EDM>

    Van V,
Addict named Ali from Detroit, MI. One of my fondest memories was taking a graduate class in Dublin in 2006. Of course I found the fellowship there, and they took me around and showed me Dublin. My instructor was concerned and asked “do you know those people”? I was like Doc, these are my peeps. I’m sure you will have a wonderful time. Plus Ireland has so much history!

  7. Van V Says:

We are plannng our first area convention Aug 26-29, 2010; we know what a personal sacrifice it would be for you to fly out, but we wish to extend a hearty handshake and hug; keep in touch and no matter what dont pick-up….

Hi everyone, im just back from doing a major rough detox ina monastery in thailand a few wks ago,its called thamkrabok and is especially just for detox, its free and all i had to do was pay for my food and flights,i didnt even have to wait 6months on a waitin list like you do over here, all i had to do was arrive on their doorstep, its as easy as that.
well at he moment im just trying to deal with life now which im finding extremely hard, especially the emotional pain part, the first thing i think about is to use just to get away from the pain but i know its not the answer but still i dont know what to do about this pain which is eating me up, everyone is sayin talk about it and in time it,ll get easier, thats what im doing but im afraid i wont be able to last until it does get easier. i know i’ll die if i use again and thats a fact, to many od’s and i kno i wont survive another one. just thought i’d share that with you all, hope your all doing as well as you can. thats all we can do.
keep safe everyone and keep the faith..

I am an addict from America who will be visiting Ireland for the first time from 9 Sept .to the 18th.I will be staying in the Galway area and I am posting this in the hope that I will be able to get contact information from N.A. members in that region.I have some years clean,I have and use an N.A sponsor and I work the 12 Steps to the best of my ability. My great-grandfather came to New York in the early 1900′s.He was a Tobbercurry man.I will be traveling with my Mother,God-Mother and Cousin.I intend to attend some meetings and I think it would be really cool to meet up with some fellow recovering addicts that I first made contact with on the Web.I am grateful to be coming to Ireland especially with my Dear Old Irish Ma…Being clean in N.A. made this possible.Just For Today,I never have to use again…

  47. MarkQ Says:

Hey ,nice new website.I had an nostalgic look at the history section and can say that first service conference in Dublin was a great event for all who were there ,really pioneering work and that the effects of it reverberate still ,and indeed are still needed.I am very honoured to be a part of this great fellowship..it’s been an awful long road since sleeping on the hot air ducts above charing X station in the ’60′sand all that kind of madness. Thanks NA and hello to all in the Irish fellowship and especially those who attended the party at Kenilworth Sq. after ESCNA 1 way back then.
de groetjes and a big hug,
    Mark Q (Rotterdam,nl)
